Lynn Cohen (Who's Who in Ensemble)

Currently appearing in HUNGER GAMES, CATCHING FIRE as Madge opposite Jennifer Lawrence.  Lynn Cohen‘s roles on film and television have ranged from Golda Meir in Steven Spielberg’s MUNICH and Maman in Louis Malle’s VANYA ON 42ND STREET to the nanny Magda in SEX AND THE CITY (both the two movies and the TV series). Included among her many other movie and TV credits are Woody Allen’s MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY and DECONSTRUCTING HARRY; EAGLE EYE; INVINCIBLE; THE EXTRA MAN; EVERYBODY’S FINE; HELLO LONESOME; LAW AND ORDER; NURSE JACKIE, DAMAGES, andBORED TO DEATH. On the New York stage, she has appeared in such plays as Tina Howe’s CHASING MANET (with Jane Alexander), HAMLET (with Kevin Kline), MACBETH (with Live Schreiber),ORPHEUS DESCENDING (with Vanessa Redgrave), and ISRAEL HOROVITZ‘S NEW SHORTS with Barefoot Theatre Company. She has also trod the boards in many of the country’s leading regional theatres. Recent productions include THREE SISTERS in the new Sarah Ruhl trans lation directed by John Doyle and Beckett’s HAPPY DAYS. Awards include a Fox Fellowship; a Richard Seff Award from Actors Equity Association: a Screen Actors Guild ensemble award (for SEX AND THE CITY), and a Bowden Award from New Dramatists. Barefoot Theatre Company Ensemble Member since 2007..

Joseph SOUSA (who's who in ensemble)

We couldn't be more proud and stoked about Ensemble Member, Joseph SOUSA's new gig as a staff writer for the hit USA Network television show, Covert Affairs which stars Piper Perabo.  Joseph isn't done with his MFA in screen and television writing and he's already signed with one of the best agencies, hired for a hit tv show and become an awesome dad to one-year old twins with beautiful wife (also Ensemble Member), Jessica LANGER!  CONGRATS and much love on behalf of the entire ensemble!!!   

Born and raised in California's San Joaquin Valley, Joseph received his BFA in Theater from Brooklyn College. Joseph acted in many New York plays including Shakespeare in the Park's Mother Courage alongside Meryl Streep. Joseph's play Teeth Of The Sons received its first reading at the Bleecker Street Theater, produced by the Barefoot Theatre Company. Teeth Of The Sons went on to receive its world premier in Portland, Oregon in September 2009. The play won Portland's Drammy Award for Best New Play and Joseph also won Best Lead Actor. Teeth Of The Sons went on to have an Off-Broadway run at the Cherry Lane Theatre in April 2011, produced by The Barefoot Theatre Company. Joseph is completing his MFA at USC for Screen and Television Writing. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Jessica and their one-year-old twins Robert and Zelda.  Barefoot Theatre Company member since 2009.

FRANCISCO SOLORZANO (Javier) For the past 15 years Francisco has produced, directed, acted, and led the Barefoot Theatre Company as Producing Artistic Director / Co-Founder from Off-Off Broadway to become a critically acclaimed and award winning NYC and LA Ensemble.  Most notably onstage, Francisco adapted, directed and acted in the critically acclaimed/sold-out Off-Broadway world premiere of DOG DAY AFTERNOON (Theatre Row Theatres).  Francisco has also been known for his leading role in Israel Horovitz's two-act drama SINS OF THE MOTHER (alongside Ethan Hawke, Chris Cooper, Bobby Cannavale, and Michael Stuhlbarg).  Most recently, acted in and co-produced two short films with Barefoot Studio Pictures, THE GIRL WITH THE JACKET written and directed by Caitlin FitzGerald and FLOATING SUNFLOWERS opposite Anna Chlumsky, Lynn Cohen and Christopher Whalen.  Collaborated on numerous films, theater productions, award winning revivals, NY and World Premieres with some of the most prolific companies including: LABYRINTH THEATER COMPANY, RATTLESTICK PLAYWRIGHTS THEATER, FLORIDA STAGE, GLOUCESTER STAGE CO., ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATER, STELLA ADLER THEATER, THEATRE ROW THEATRES to name a few. BFA in Acting: CUNY'S Brooklyn College; Recipient of the Graduate Theater Organization of Brooklyn College, CUNY's Alumnus of the Year Award.  Currently splits his time between his home in Brooklyn, New York and Hollywood, CA.  

GABE FAZIO (Nate) is from Holtsville Long Island, where he attended Suffolk Community College.  From there, he went on to study at The New School For Social Research and received an MFA, in 2000.  Gabe is a member of the Actors Studio, and the Barefoot Theatre Company.  He is a resident actor at the Long Island Shakespeare Festival, and contributing artist at the Cry Havoc Company.  Off and off-off Broadway and regional theater credits: The NYC premier of Tennessee William’s SPRING STORM, at the St. Clements Theatre, NYC premier of the short play, SINS Of The MOTHER, by Israel Horovist at the 79th Street Theatre, with Barefoot Theatre Company, the world premier of Edward Allan Baker’s, A FREE GIFT INSIDE, directed by Elizabeth Kemp at The Actors Studio “Phillip” in LOBO’s Production of Lyle Kessler’s ORPHANS at Urban Stages, ROOM SERVICE, directed by Arthur Stortch, at the Actor’s Studio, title roll in ROMEO and JULIET and “Grumio” in THE TAMING of the SHREW, directed by Barri Ingham.  Television and some Film Credits: LAW and ORDER, ABC mini series, THE PATH to 9/11, PAPER COVERS ROCK, BLUE COLLAR BOYS, A SONG STILL INSIDE, NIGYO, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, INDIANA, GUN.  Gabe is co-director and writer of two short films, JOE MOVER and TEN: THIRTY ONE.

EDEN MARRYSHOW (Silas) is a native of Flatbush, Brooklyn.  He was an educator for the NYC Department of Education for ten years. When one of his beloved students was shot in a drive by shooting he finally realized how short life is and decided it was time to follow his Big Dream of becoming an actor!  He hasn't looked back since... He is truly grateful for this journey and constant realization of his dream and has dedicated his life to helping people discover and follow their dreams. DREAM BIG, GO HARD!

LIZA DYE (Stage Directions) is a classically trained Theatre Performance student from Charleston, South Carolina. She performs stand-up comedy regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and was featured in The L Magazine's 30 Under 30 Young Brooklynites We Envy Most. She is a company member of PURE Theatre in Charleston, SC and was last seen as Veronica in the South Carolina premiere of The Motherfucker With The Hat. BEN SNYDER (writer) is a playwright and filmmaker. His plays have been produced at P.S. 122, The Vineyard Theater, Crossroads Theatre, The Apollo Theater, New York Stage and Film, and at HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. Ben has received the Lincoln Center Lucomte du Nouy Playwriting Prize, and been nominated for an NAACP Image Award. He is a member of Labyrinth Theater Company. Ben’s short films have been presented at The Cannes Film Festival, Aspen Shortfest, The Austin Film Festival, and been featured on the PBS series “On Story.” He currently teaches at Hostos Community College in the Bronx. SHIRA-LEE SHALIT (director) is an award-winning director, writer and actor, chosen by Steven Spielberg out of 12,000 directors as one of 12 Finalists for the Fox/DreamWorks TV show, ON THE LOT. For the LAByrinth Theatre Company’s Intensive and Intensive Ensembles, Shira-Lee has directed works by John Patrick Shanley, Frank Pugliese, Kenneth Lonergan and Halley Feiffer, and has directed for Barefoot Theatre Company’s ROCKAWAY Benefit, Nylon Fusion Collective, Vertigo Theater Company, The Jewish Plays Project, Stonestreet Studios, NY Madness and the Writers Guild East Screenplay Series. This past summer, she directed a production of a new play, STANDBYS for the Thespis Theater Festival. A Presidential Scholar of the Arts Awardee and Finalist in the Student Academy Awards for her first film, FULL CYCLE, Shira-Lee has written and directed many shorts and webseries. Her feature film debut, A-LIST starring Academy Award Nominee Sally Kirkland and Daphne Zuniga, won the Audience Award at the Milan International Film Festival and a Gold Remi for Best Comedy at WorldFest Film Festival. Shira-Lee was named one of Shoot Magazine’s ‘Up and Coming Directors To Watch’ for her short film, OPEN AIR, which was selected for 45 film festivals and won 6 awards. She received her BFA at NYU and her MFA at Columbia University. Shira-Lee teaches master classes for The LAByrinth Theater Company and is on faculty at Columbia University’s Graduate Film School and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
