Co. Member A. Chlumsky GOES OFF-BWAY!

Kristen Johnston stars as a stage diva struggling to remain center stage in the Mint Theatre Company production of Maurine Dallas Watkins' comedy So Help Me God!, which begins previews Off-Broadway Nov. 18.
Mint artistic director Jonathan Bank stages the production that is set to officially open Dec. 7 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The limited run will continue through Dec. 20.
Johnston (The Women, "3rd Rock from the Sun") stars as Lily, the demanding leading actress, with Anna Chlumsky ("My Girl," Fabulous Life of a Size Zero) as her ambitious, yet naïve understudy, who aims to take her place.
Johnston headlined a reading of So Help Me God! last summer at the Lortel. Watkins is the late playwright of Chicago (the basis for the Kander and Ebb musical), as well as the screenplays "Libeled Lady" and "Roxie Hart."
Tickets are available by phoning (212) 279-4200 or by visiting TicketCentral. The Lucille Lortel Theatre is located at 121 Christopher Street. Visit MintTheater

Additionally, six of these plays were joined to create an evening called “6 Hotels”: Fiddleheads and Lovers, Speaking of Tushy, Beirut Rocks, (intermission), The Audition Play, The Hotel Play, 2nd Violin. Recently, an off-Broadway show was created by Barefoot Theatre Company entitled “The Middle-East (in pieces)”, comprised of A Mother’s Love *, Security *, Beirut Rocks, and What Strong Fences Make*.
