On April 15th & April 17th we present four short plays by Israel Horovitz as part of the year-long, world-wide festival 70/70 Horovitz Project.
The plays include Security and A Mother's Love, developed and originally produced by the Barefoot Theatre Company in 2003 - company members who originated their roles return: Gil Ron and AnaMaria Correa.
Also in the evening is Beirut Rocks with three of its original cast members and Barefoot company members, Kendra Leigh Landon, producing artistic director, Francisco Solorzano and company manager, Christopher Whalen.
Joining the ensemble: Danelle Eliav, Tala Ashe and Barefoot company members, Charles Everett and Joseph Sousa. Presented in the evening is the reading of Horovitz's latest short play, What Strong Fences Make which will have premiere at this year's Boston Theatre Marathon in a collaboration with Barefoot Theatre Company and Gloucester Stage Company. Directing this event is Barefoot Associate Director, Michael LoPorto.
On Wednesday, April 15th the event will take place at the Bleecker Street Theatre (official venue of the 70/70 Horovitz Project) at 8pm; $10 cash only at the door followed by a presentation on Friday, April 17th at IONA College in New Rochelle, 7pm; free admission. click on poster for more details.
