A Filipina Maid chasing the American Dream, a hyper sexual Housewife on the prowl for a threesome, a self-made Lawyer challenging the Mafia, a Harlem Rapper striving for success, and the Social Worker who observes them all. How far will each woman go to find her truth? The F Factor links five contemporary characters in a comedic and thought provoking journey which confronts female sexuality, urban gentrification, illegal immigration, and woman’s rapidly changing identity in today’s lightning paced world. Shayna Padovano is a New York City based writer and performer. Originally from Massachusetts, she spent some key developmental years in Singapore. She grew up exploring Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, India and Burma and was exposed to some incredible forms of theatre and dance during this time. She is currently preparing for a production of her first solo show, THE F FACTOR going up in NYC in June. Favorite NYC theatre credits include: Give Us Bread (Milagro Theatre, Berkshire Fringe) Lola Got Bite (The Gene Frankel Theatre) The Cherry Orchard, The Winter's Tale (Columbia Stages) Don Juan in Chicago (Kirk Theatre at Theatre Row). She has studied theatre and performed in Italy at the Scuola Internazionale della Commedia dell’Arte (Reggio Emilia) the Accademia dell’Arte (Arezzo) and the La Mama E.T.C International Director’s Symposium (Spoleto). Shayna holds a B.F.A in Theatre Arts from Boston University.
