Danelle Eliav
Originally from Canada, Danelle has trained and performed in Toronto, Victoria, Jerusalem, London and New York. She is an actor, writer and director in theater and film. For Barefoot, Danelle has performed in countless readings in the 70/70 Horovitz Project and in productions of Suite Horovitz (Dir. Pam Seiderman at Theater for a New City) andMid-East Pieces (Dir. Mike LoPorto at Bleecker Street Theater & Eric Nightengale at Theater for a New City). As an actress, she has performed in workshops and readings with LAByrinth Theater Company, Primary Stages, the Public Theater, Classic Stage Company, Red Bull Theater, Atlantic Theater as well as has performed in the New York Fringe Festival and the Midtown International Film Festival. Select Theatre includes: Goodnight, Sister (Dir. James Lapine) & Speaking of Tushy (Dir. Israel Horovitz, The Cherry Lane Theatre); Cynthia and the Dreadful Kite (Dir. Jill DeArmon, LAByrinth Theater Barn Series at the Public & Vampire Cowboys Saloon); When in Disgrace (St. Clements Theater);Talk Thirty to Me (Bridge Theatre Company); Burning Cities (NY Fringe); Romeo and Juliet as well as A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Allentown Shakespeare); Mothergun (MITF) and title roles in Extremities and Cymbeline. Danelle is an Actor-member of the New York Playwrights Lab where she has worked closely with playwright Israel Horovitz. As a playwright, Danelle has had two of her short playsBusted and Unknown Variables performed at Rebel Verses Festival at CenterStage Theater in NY and is currently developing her first full length play Withdrawal. As a filmmaker, she has made two short films, The Girl and the Spanish Boy, which she wrote, directed and starred in, and What We Didn’t Say, which she directed and starred in and is currently in preproduction for her third which shoots in Italy. Trained at RADA and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater. She happily splits her time between New York, Los Angeles and Toronto.

Long time Barefoot family member as well as the writer, director and producer of the romantic comedy, feature Film, Love Simple officially joins the Ensemble.
MARK von STERNBERG
Mark von Sternberg is a Brooklyn-based playwright, screenwriter and director whose stage plays have received numerous productions across New York City. Such credits include The Zen Cynic, which premiered at Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts (wrote and directed); Rats! at the DUMBO Art Festival (2000); Lost in Buenos Aires produced by Barefoot Theatre Company at the Producers’ Club (2002); and La Pump (a staged reading at 541 Space). He served as a script reader for Manhattan Theatre Club during their 2005-2006 seasons.
In 2008, Mark wrote and directed the coming-of-age romance, Love Simple, which received tremendous feedback on the 2009-2010 festival circuit and was hailed by Variety as an “engaging neighborhood pic... with genuine flair and wit.” The film was released on iTunes in the Spring of 2010 and will be distributed by Your Indie Films/Synergetic for home video DVD (November 2010).
Mark is a graduate of Brooklyn College with a B.F.A. in Acting (2000). He and his wife, Denise, own two cats and are the proud parents of their two-year old son, Dylan.
New Ensemble Member, Patrizia Hernandez appeared in the feature film, Love Simple written and directed by another Ensemble Member - Mark von Sternberg. The romantic comedy also featured Ensemble Members, Francisco Solorzano, John Harlacher and Advisory Board Member Israel Horovitz.
PATRIZIA HERNANDEZ
Patrizia Hernandez hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and has spent her life shuffling between that tropical island and the concrete jungle that is New York City. Her love of acting began in fifth grade when she was cast as the Earthworm inJames and the Giant Peach. Patrizia graduated from New York University/Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She received a Best Actress nomination from the Feel Good Film Festival in Los Angeles (http://www.fgff.org/) for her starring role in Love Simple which also screened at film festivals in New York City and Orlando, Florida. VARIETY wrote of her "shy charm" and SELF magazine proclaimed her a "breakout actress" and a "must watch star". The Latin market took notice of one of their own and she has been interviewed by Univision, Cara a Cara, and 1440AM radio. Patrizia's television credits include the pilot Possible Side Effects, written and directed by Tim Robbins opposite Ellen Burstyn and Josh Lucas and an episode of Law & Order, opposite Alana de la Garza and Jesse L. Martin. Her most recent theater credits include Beirut Rocks and 6 Hotels: A Suite, both written and directed by Obie award winner Israel Horovitz

LUKE LEONARD
Luke Leonard is a director, actor, artist, and writer of theatre and film. He holds a BFA in Acting from Brooklyn College and a MFA in Directing from the University of Texas at Austin. Recent directing credits include: Mac Wellman and David Lang’s opera The Difficulty of Crossing a Field (nominated for eight 2010 Austin Critics’ Table Awards including “Best Opera”), and the first ever Italian translation of Israel Horovitz’s The Indian Wants the Bronx in Spoleto, Italy. Additional credits include performance (The Art of Depicting Nature As It Is Seen By Toads, 2010, Austin, TX) and installation art (The Time it Takes, 2009, Austin, TX). He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and an Associate Member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
