INFORMATION:

In NEXT, a mobile whorehouse is brought to an American army encampment in Europe during WWII. Its presence brings to the surface issues of racism, sexuality, and the fear of impending death. Next! was first workshopped with the Barefoot Theatre Company and had its first reading at the Lit Lounge in the East Village and then was further developed at the ATA of the Sargent Theatre. The Abraxas Stage Company production of NEXT at the HERE Arts Center will benefit the non-profit organization On Behalf of a Grateful Nation (http://onbehalf.org/about-us).
