Company Member Lorraine Rodriguez...

Willets Point- was just picked up for screening at The 12th Annual Long Island International Film Festival. Lorraine Rodriguez can be seen in the feature film Willets Point as well as the New York Premiere of Nilo Cruz's play A Bicycle Country at Theatre Row Theatres. Click on image more details.
Recently seen in Project # 5 of the 70/70 Horovitz Project at the Cherry Lane Theatre as well as Project # 3 at American Ballroom Theater. Lorraine Rodriguez is best known for her work in the workshop and world premiere stage adaptation of Dog Day Afternoon and Barefoot Theatre Company's OOBR award winning production of Mary Gallagher's De Donde?.

Business Workshop

This past weekend - Barefoot Theatre Company held their first ever workshop on the business of acting - getting an agent and or manager. Several members attended along with actor friends. This was the first of many workshops and playdates set up during the summer for Barefoot. Due to the success of this gathering, we hope to continue to offer these workshops.

Company Member John Gazzale...

Company member, John Gazzale will be seen this summer at the Fringe Festival with Terranova, a new play written by Dennis Loaicono and Pamela Monk.

Performances August 16, 19, 22, 23, 27, 2009 with different time schedules on each date.

Gazzale was best known for playing Leon in the crittically acclaimed Barefoot Theatre Company stage adaptation of Dog Day Afternoon.

Also known for his work in Lanford Wilson's Balm In Gilead and the bareNaked Reading Series at the Bleecker Street Theatre. Keep an eye out for his upcoming work!

Barefoot At Bryant Park

Last night several Barefoot Theatre Company members and friends attended the free screening of Dog Day Afternoon at Bryant Park. This marked the first of many playdates we will have to offer for members, family and friends this summer! It was a lot of fun and the crowd was amazing. enjoy some of the pics!

HBO LATINO FILM FESTIVAL with...

Love Simple featuring Producing Artistic Director, Francisco Solorzano, company member, John Harlacher, Advisory Board member, Israel Horovitz and directed by Barefoot Theatre Company family memeber, Mark Von Sternberg will be screening at the 10th Annual HBO Latino Film Festival (Friday (7/31/09) 1:45 PM @ Visual Arts Theater Screen 2 & Sunday (08/02/09) 3:30 PM @ Clearview Cinemas Chelsea Screen 7) http://www.nylatinofilm.com/ and then out west:

The feature film was shot all over Brooklyn, New York.

The film also features Patrizia Hernandez seen in Barefoot Theatre Company's Beirut Rocks by Israel Horovitz at the 9th annual Boston Theatre Marathon.

Company Members at Theatre Row Theatres


Company Member Gil Ron directs the New York Premier of Nilo Cruz's A Bicycle Country at Theatre Row Theatre's The Lion Theater. The play features company members Luca Pierucci, Lorraine Rodriguez, Francisco Solorzano and Joanna Leigh Jacobsen as stage manager.
