Teeth of the Sons, a full-length drama by Ensemble Member Joseph Sousa was featured in our first ever bareNaked Reading Series in 2009. The Reading which took place at 45 Bleecker featured Ensemble Members, Anna Chlumsky, Will Allen and Christopher Whalen. The play went on to get produced in Portland, OR with Joseph Sousa and Will Allen in the lead roles. Most recently, Teeth of the Sons won 2 Drammy Awards for BEST ORIGINAL PLAY as well as BEST ACTOR (for Sousa). The Drammays, celebrating outstanding achievement in Portland Theatre marks Sousa's first win. We congratulate our Ensemble Members Joseph Sousa and Will Allen!!!
Both Sousa and Allen currently reside in Los Angeles, California. Our 2nd Annual bareNaked Readings Series will feature equally exciting new works by some emerging as well as established playwrights. The first annual bareNaked Reading Series featured such plays as Ensemble Member Chiara Montalto's Emergency Used Candles (seen in our Workshop Series and chosen for the Emerging Artists Theatre Festival); Shayna Padovan's The F Factor (recently given a full run) and Israel Horovitz's The P-Word (now being produced all around the globe).
